Set your affection on things above…

In a world filled with constant chaos and distractions, it is easy to lose sight of the true purpose of our existence. Many of us find ourselves running tirelessly after our dreams, striving for success and fulfillment in a world that often feels suffocating and overwhelming. However, in the midst of this whirlwind, we often forget to seek guidance from our Heavenly Father - God - who has a plan and purpose for each of us.

The deception of Satan lies in his ability to weigh us down with worries and concerns that distract us from our true calling. His ultimate goal is to steal our peace, kill our joy, and destroy our faith. While we may believe that Satan's tactics are only aimed at physical harm, his initial strategy is to burden us with anxieties and uncertainties that prevent us from fully surrendering to God's will.

God, on the other hand, promises us a future filled with hope and prosperity. He assures us that if we seek His kingdom first, all our needs will be provided for (Matthew 6:33). Instead of fretting about the uncertainties of tomorrow, we are called to trust in His plans and surrender our worries to Him. By focusing on heavenly matters and running the race of life with patience and faith, we can find true fulfillment and purpose in His will.

Disobedience to God's commands is akin to witchcraft (1 Samuel 15:23), as it leads us away from His divine guidance and protection. When we allow worries and distractions to consume us, we are walking in defiance of His will for our lives. Instead, God invites us to come to Him with our burdens, promising rest for our weary souls and a light yoke that is easy to bear. (Matthew 11:28-30) His love and care for us far surpass any earthly concerns or fears.

In conclusion, it is crucial to shift our focus from the temporal worries of this world to the eternal truths of God's promises. By entrusting our lives to His care and seeking His will above all else, we can find peace, purpose, and fulfillment in His perfect plan for us. Let us not be consumed by the burdens of life, but rather surrender them to the Father who knows us intimately and desires the best for our lives.
