Striving to do good

The internal conflict between the spiritual and the carnal aspects of human nature has been a profound and enduring theme in religious and philosophical discourse. In Romans 7:14-21, the apostle Paul grapples with this very conflict, acknowledging the dichotomy between the spiritual law and his own carnal nature entrenched in sin. He candidly expresses the struggle he faces, where his actions do not always align with his desires, and he finds himself succumbing to the very evil he despises.
